Surat has recently seen one of the worst floods in its history. (7th august 2006 to 12th august 2006)

I am living in same area (Adajan area of Surat City-which was badly affected by flood) and I started to see poor and needy patients from 14th August 2006 from 11 am to 7 pm at my Laser Centre. It was free OPD with my routine patients. This Statistics is to highlight the type of diseases which can flare up due to floods. AT present the main concentration of all Doctors and health authority is on other diseases like Leptospirosis etc but no one is speaking about the most common problem people are facing at this particular moment. Following is the brief data of the patients we seen with broad disease wise category. I hope it will be taken in consideration for future references also. I am going to publish detail analysis in one of Dermatology Journals.
